Having beautiful and well-groomed hands on a daily basis is not always easy, as the skin is in permanent contact with several factors that can damage and accelerate its aging, leading, for example, to the appearance of stains on the hands.
Age spots on the skin, also called solar lentigines, are small spots and pigmentations that appear in areas of the skin that have been most exposed to the sun, such as the face, neckline or back of the hands, usually a light brown or uniform dark and of regular size and shape. There may also be other associated causes, such as pregnancy, natural aging of the skin, some medications, abuse of the solarium, etc.
This pigmentation is related to the amount of melanin produced, the pigment that gives the skin its natural color, regardless of exposure to the sun.
The spots caused by skin aging are more common in adults over 50 years old, although they can also appear in young people, who can develop melasma. Exposure to the sun is the main cause of stains on the hands, as it is solar radiation that activates the production of melanin. Usually, the spots appear on the back of the hands, as the palm skin is more resistant.
The skin on the back of the hands is thinner, very similar to that around the eyes or neck. Although it is difficult to completely remove stains from hands, it is possible to take care of the skin and help prevent stains by avoiding sun exposure at the most critical hours, protect the skin with appropriate clothing and use adequate photo protection, which should be applied about 30 minutes before sun exposure.
I always have a hand cream in my wallet!
My choice is to have the most complete cream possible, which has a sun protection factor, anti-aging action and anti-spot action. In this way I gather the cream three in one perfect. These three options are truly magnificent, all of them super hydrating, non-sticky and with a super pleasant smell.
